Human Resources Manager

Reports to the Chief of Staff. Remote position, full-time.

Job Overview

We are looking for someone to autonomously manage day-to-day HR operations for the company and its UK subsidiary, and manage expected growth of the current workforce by 50% in the next 12-18 months. The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

The ideal candidate will have an extensive HR and recruiting professional background, deep understanding of Labor laws, and experience managing remote teams. Our company is 100% virtual, with teams spread across the world (including US West and East Coast and London, Europe). The HR Manager position plays a critical role in ensuring all operations are running smoothly and seamlessly.

This position will work from home, and reports to the Chief of Staff. We are looking for someone who can work with little supervision, able to take decisions autonomously, that enjoys working in a fast pace environment. The role requires a self-motivated professional who is capable of managing a heavy workload while prioritizing complex tasks in a startup environment. Must have the ability to operate with extreme organization, attention to detail, and a calm demeanor.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Supporting the Chief of Staff on all HR and administrative activities
  • Working with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Analyzing trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, for the company and subsidiaries; reviewing policies to maintain compliance.
  • Ensuring employees follow all policies and procedures
  • Suggesting changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs
  • Writing and maintaining the employee staff handbook, for the US company and its subsidiaries
  • Managing recruitment plans including posting jobs, screening candidates in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws, training new staff
  • Managing all onboarding and offboarding procedures
  • Administrating benefits and team vacation
  • Managing the company quarterly milestone review and staff yearly performance review processes
  • Identifying with managers personnel training needs and career progression
  • Organizing all-wide company social events as well as put together relevant topics for In-Person Get-Togethers, Virtual Get-Togethers, and other company strategic reunions
  • Organizing retreats for executives, Board of Director meetings, Advisory Board meetings
  • Implementing procedures and initiatives for efficient communication workflows

Asia Pacific Manager

Reports to the Chief Strategy Officer. Remote position in East or Southeast Asia, full-time.

Job Overview

We are looking for someone to help us grow sales and deliver consultancy services in the Asia Pacific region. Currently, our focus is on SE Asia and we are looking for a high-calibre individual who can speak Japanese and English. You will have management consultancy and account development skills, and will help manage and develop sales and relationships with our international delivery partners, UK and US government trade agencies and our clients/prospects.

This position will work from home, and reports to the Chief Strategy Officer, who manages international sales activity from our UK subsidiary company in London. Initially, we are looking for someone to work half-time on a contract basis. However, there is the opportunity for the right person to grow this into a full-time salaried position in the company, in line with market development achievements.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide support to the Chief Strategy Officer on all APAC activities
  • Manage and progress in-country sales and relationships with client/prospects, government organisations and partners
  • Act as account manager for APAC clients
  • Help organise and deliver consultancy assignments
