COO Rod Baltzer is speaking on a panel discussing nuclear waste issues at the Energy Communities Alliance’s third New Nuclear Forum, the only meeting bringing together DOE, federal, state, local and tribal governments and policymakers with developers, utilities, regulators, industry, and academia to identify opportunities, challenges and to build the partnerships necessary to support new nuclear development.
Ethan Bates, Director of Systems Engineering for Deep Isolation will be presenting the paper “Features, Events, and Processes Prioritization for Deep Borehole Disposal Concepts in Crystalline Rock and Shale,” in the session, Waste Stabilization and Repository Science on Wednesday, June 15, at the ANS Annual Meeting in Anaheim, CA.
The co-founders of Deep Isolation will discuss their technology and business model at a panel on Spent Nuclear Fuel and High-Level Wastes at this week’s 13th Asian Leadership Conference in Seoul. The panel is scheduled for July 13, 2022, and will be moderated by Hwang Il Soon, Chair Professor at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST).

But what about the Waste?” at the International High-Level Radioactive Waste Management Conference (IHLRWM). This conference is an embedded topic at the ANS Winter Meeting and Technology Expo in Phoenix, Arizona, November 13-17, 2022. The plenary session will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 8 a.m. MST.
